13 only has dynamic goals (ie no longer 3 set goals at the start of the game) which are often inappropriate, there's no historical games to unlock teams (historical teams are there, but having to battle to unlock them was great fun), training is less rewarding, rotations are messed up (playing 8 minute quarters I was constantly left out for the whole second half), the interface for Hoop Centre is useless (why on earth are only 3 players shown at one time?!), some of the glides to the basket look very scripted and unnatural. Don't get me wrong, I still think it's a good game, but it does a lot of things worse. I played the crap out of 2k12, and I have played the crap out of 2k13. Both are awesome games, but both are also very different games. Completely different if you ask me. If you enjoyed 2k12, there is no reason to think you wont enjoy 2k13 just the same. It is definitely not just 2k12 with new rosters.
